Content Strategy for Personal Brands

Have you ever tried to start a blog for your business, only to end up:

  • Wondering what the hell to write about
You know you’re supposed to have a blog, but what in the bloody hell is supposed to go on it?
  • Trying to figure out how to say things in a new way
Hasn’t everything already been said somewhere before? And if so, what’s the point of you covering the same ground as everyone else?
  • Running out of ideas
There’s only so much you can say about any given topic, right?
  • Struggling to write anything that gets noticed
Been doing this for a while and seeing precisely zero results? No visitors, no shares, no interactions. Ugghh, what are you doing wrong?
  • Completely mystified about how this is supposed to turn into paying clients
It doesn’t appear to be making you any money, so what’s the point in putting so much time and effort into it?

You’re right: a blog is a vital part of growing an online business, particularly a personal brand like yours, where you’re the face of your business – and you need to be the voice of it, too.

But it’s not as a simple as writing whatever you happen to feel like that week. Yes, you need to get your personality and values across, but you also need to share things that are – and here’s the bit where you really need to start paying attention – relevant and helpful to your target customers.

Blogging can help you grow a dedicated, loyal audience who’ll buy your things and shout about them to everyone else – but only if you do it right. And that’s where I come in. I’ll help you figure out how to blog in a way that actually gets results.

How I Can Help

Blog Critiquing

This is for you if you’ve been blogging for a while but aren’t getting the results you want.

After you’ve told me all about your business, I’ll look at your blog’s content from at least the past three months and put together a detailed report about what’s working, what’s not, and what you can do about it, including an action plan on what your next steps should be.

I’ll do all this specifically with the goal of strengthening your personal brand, helping readers get to know, like and trust you more – and making you their number one choice when they decide to buy.

Blog Post Planning

This is for you if you don’t have a blog yet or you’re struggling to come up with ideas for the one you’ve already got.

After learning about your business, your target audience and what you want to achieve with your blog, I’ll write up a list of 52 ideas you can transform into blog posts. It’ll include headlines that are good to go, as well as synopses so you know what the hell you’re supposed to be writing about.

If you’re not so strong on the arithmetic front, I’ll just point out that that’s an entire year’s worth of content you won’t have to dream up (or half a year if you plan to publish twice a week, you go-getter).
